WHAT WE DO

Community Heroes is a boutique business development consultancy set up by Andy Fish in 2016.

We support organisations that tackle social issues and deliver lasting change for better lives. We focus on bid management and bid writing. We have built a network of associates with expertise in financial modelling, quality systems, HR and bid writing.

Our main areas of expertise are social exclusion, employability, skills, health, disability, justice, young people and education. Since December 2016 we have supported not-for-profit, local authority and private sector customers to access funding worth over £400m

We can support any organisation to develop impactful bids, tenders and funding applications as well as supporting with commercial proposals and any business copywriting needs.

Andy Fish, Director

Andy has 22 years’ experience in business development for private and voluntary sector organisations, with 10 years in senior leadership positions, including: Head of UK Business Development for Rehab Group (Ireland’s largest disability charity) and Head of Business Development for Barnardo’s employment, training, skills division. He was the Senior Bid Writer at TBG Learning and Tomorrow’s People Trust, and Research and Development Manager for Sencia (now part of Interserve) and Fern Training and Development (now part of Newcastle College Group).

Andy has extensive experience across national and local government funding, ESIF and grant funding.

Andy is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Member of the Institute of Employability Professionals and a Member of the Institute of Fundraising. Andy is a graduate of the University of Warwick.
